LotworkCare+ RS for Ring Scanner

1. LotworkCare+ RS Policy: 

  1. LotworkCare+ RS is an add-on comprehensive service only available at the time of purchase for the Hyco Ring Scanner. 
  2. The coverage period of LotworkCare+ RS can be extended up to 5 years from the existing LotworkCare+ RS. 

 

2. LotworkCare+ RS Benefits: 

  1. With our adequate and timely Technical Support, you can access expert assistance and swift resolutions around the clock, ensuring uninterrupted productivity and peace of mind.
  2. Unlimited incidents of accidental damage protection coverage include any accidents or malfunctions of the ring scanner and charging cradle. 
  3. In the event of an issue, Lotwork will promptly replace the affected ring scanner and charging cradle at no cost to the user within the LotworkCare+ RS coverage period. 
  4. Claims and shipments will be processed within 3 business days, with Lotwork managing the two-way shipment process directly to the user. 

 

3. Replacement Units Buyout Option  

In the event of a replacement occurring within 2 years prior to the expiration of LotworkCare+ RS, users are granted the opportunity to exercise a buyout option at the time of expiration, coupled with a one-year Lotwork Standard Warranty.

1. The buyout rate for the replacement unit is calculated based on the price difference corresponding to its usage period within the last two years preceding the expiration of LotworkCare+ RS, on a round-down monthly basis, for example:

  • In the case of a 2-year LotworkCare+ RS, if a replacement is received in the 14.5th month, the buyout rate for the replacement unit would be [14/24) *Listed Price]. 
  • In the case of a 4-year LotworkCare+ RS, if a replacement occurs in the 14th month, the user cannot repurchase the replacement unit since the replacement transpires over 2 years before the end date.
  • In the case of a 4-year LotworkCare+ RS, if a replacement is received in the 38.5th month, the buyout rate for the replacement unit would be [(38-24)/24*Listed Price]  

2. Upon exercising the buyout option, the unit becomes eligible for LotworkCare+ RS add-on coverage.

3. LotworkCare+ RS extends coverage for each unit for up to 5 years. For buyout units, the rate is contingent upon the yearly usage within the last two years. If the usage spans less than one year, it is considered 0 years; otherwise, it is deemed 1 year of usage.

4. Should the user opt not to buy out units that were replaced within the last two years prior to the expiration of LotworkCare+ RS, these replaced units will no longer be protected under Lotwork's Standard Warranty. Consequently, they are ineligible for LotworkCare+ RS extensions. 

 

4. General 

  1. Users are responsible for properly maintaining and using the ring scanner and charging cradle according to the provided guidelines. 
  2. This warranty is not transferable and is only valid for users registered with Lotwork. 
  3. Lotwork's sole responsibility for defective hardware replacement is subject to Lotwork's discretion. 
  4. In the event of an extraordinary issue, Lotwork reserves the right to initiate a responsible investigation, and users must fully cooperate. Lotwork may involve third parties to determine the cause of the issue. If the investigation reveals that the damage was a result of abuse or misuse, the user responsible for the damage will be liable for 100% of the investigation, shipment, repair, replacement, and associated costs. 

 

5. Exclusions from the LotworkCare+ RS 

  1. Consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings, are designed to diminish over time unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship. 
  2. Cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship. 
  3. Damage caused by use with a third-party component or product. 
  4. Damage is caused by abuse, misuse, fire, earthquake, or other external causes. 
  5. Damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone other than a representative of Lotwork. 
  6. If any serial number has been removed or defaced from the Lotwork Product. 
  7. If the user cannot prove in any way that the user is the authorized user of the product (e.g. by presenting proof of purchase). 

 

6. How to Claim LotworkCare+ RS 

  1. Submit the claim: If you encounter any issues, please submit the claim through the LotworkCare+ member portal. Otherwise, contact your account manager or our support team at support@lotworkiot.com or +1 (613) 410- 6616. Kindly provide us with detailed information about the problem and ensure that you attach your proof of purchase. 
  2. Technical diagnostic: Our dedicated technical team will carefully evaluate the information provided and, if necessary, guide you through a diagnostic step to accurately identify the issue.   
  3. Receive a replacement: Upon confirming the issue, we will promptly coordinate the replacement dispatch to you. 
  4. Shipping the faulty product back: We will issue a return authorization and provide you with clear, step-by-step instructions for shipping the faulty product back to us. Please ensure that the return package includes both the ring scanner and its original charging cradle, as the charging cradle is an integral part of the ring scanner.
